ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS

Environmental indicators describe the status and development of the environment of a particular town, region or county. There is a range of indicator sets that evaluate different aspects and components of the environment. Company CI2, o.p.s. uses for this purpose a set of indicators based on the methodology of reports on the status of the environment of a particular town or region.

Individual indicators are divided into groups according to subject areas / chapters and collectively give a clear picture of the overall situation and development of the particular area in the place. These are the following areas:

  1. About town and people - the basic view of the town, demography and economy of the town
  2. Environment in context - additional perspective on the relations of the town and its surroundings, energy management, management of resources, etc.
  3. Waste - indicators on the creation and management of waste
  4. Air - air quality indicators
  5. Water - indicators related to water - hydrology, water quality, waste water treatment, etc.
  6. Noise - noise pollution indicators
  7. Greenery - indicators of status of urban greenery
  8. Nature Conservation - conservation Indicators
  9. Land use - indicators of land use, ecological stability, etc. 

The sources of data for environmental indicators are in particular public databases and the local records in municipal offices. For some indicators, it is necessary to make a local investigation or to contact organizations cooperating with the town, village or region.

Company CI2, o.p.s. offers to interested towns, villages and regions processing locally specific environmental assessment of the particular town, village or region through the identification and fulfillment of the indicator framework or processing of a comprehensive report on the state of the town environment.
